For those of you who missed it, Branford recently spoke with Guy Raz as part of NPR’s All Things Considered Weekend. You can listen to the interview here or check out the transcript that includes some discussion that wasn’t included in the final edit of the interview. Among other things, Branford discusses the influence of Art Blakey, the Quartet’s new drummer Justin Faulkner, and his work with students at North Carolina Central University.
